Management Associations Transcend Boundaries
Management professionals of India and Pakistan could be looking at a closer relationship and increased interactions in the coming few years. The All India Management Association, a 56 year old body of professional management associations, has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Management Association of Pakistan to facilitate the interaction between management professionals of the two countries.
The memorandum was signed on Wednesday, February 22, by Rajiv Vastupal, President AIMA and Kamal A Chinoy, President of MAP. Vatsupal said that “under this MoU, the two organizations will exchange information and add value to each other to be able to raise professional competence of individuals and organizations in both countries and enhance their contribution in building and developing the nation and the society.” It is expected to help both the organizations to share and transfer best practices known to each other, further to that, the two organizations will also inform and share with each other access to any foreign eminent speaker or expert who may be available for a visit to both the countries. The two associations have also agreed to participate in each other’s flagship events by sending speakers, experts and delegations.
The All India Management Association and the Management Association of Pakistan have also agreed to promote amongst themselves an exchange of knowledge, experiences and ideas on sound management principles and practices through discussions, research projects, seminars, publications, abstracts, journals, etc.
Elaborating further on the tie up, Vastupal said that, “the agreement will see both organizations actively leveraging resources to promote, facilitate and support development of professional management in both the countries.”
The All India Management Association celebrated its 56th Foundation Day and National Management Day on 21st of February.
