Battery Low?
Are you an iPhone 3GS owner? A Blackberry Torch perhaps? Maybe an N Series Nokia? If you are, you would know that one of the biggest problems with these otherwise great devices is that they are hungry for battery. Portable they are, but also juice draining. And more often than not, when you are travelling a certain Mr. Murphy makes sure that there is no power plug in sight when you need one.
A great workaround this problem is carrying a portable and rechargeable battery pack that lets you recharge your portable devices on the go. We at Entrepreneur recently got our hands on one such pack—the Choiix Power Fort—manufactured by Taiwan-based on Cooler Master, which makes a host of other laptop and mobile accessories.
The pack was tested on the go, when this writer made a trip to the U.S. where he invariably ran into a either not finding a power point or having an adaptor issue. The 10WHr Power Fort came to the rescue many a times here.
After it was charged for four hours overnight, the Fort gave out enough juice to recharge a battery-hogging Nokia N900 fully twice over. And even then, it had some juice left in it for charging a Sony PSP. Other users of the Fort said that they could recharge their phones (Nokia N Series and Blackberries of the previous generation) twice over as well.
The Fort is light, easy to the eye, and small enough to go into a cargo pocket if not a backpack. Thanks to a USB port and a micro-USB port, the Power Fort is can charge almost every portable electronic device these is in the market. The specs on the Fort reveal that it has a special circuit design that protects the battery from the wear-and-tear of the charging-discharging process.
The Fort also comes with a built-in battery life LED that helps keep track of the charge left in it. It also has a pretty nifty flashlight at one end of it. In the pack, you will also get a pretty decent suede cover and, thankfully, an easy-to-decipher equipment manual. The device retails at a decent Rs.3,500—an investment that will be well worth it for entrepreneurs on the go.
